Examinations
In order to achieve a qualification for this course you will need to pass the examinations.
All of our examinations are carried out online in your workplace. You will need to take an examination for each unit you have studied and these will be done once you have completed the coursework for each unit.
Each examination will take around 30 minutes to complete and the pass mark for each unit is 50%
You can resit any units you do not pass and any unit can be resat up to three times.
Once you have achieved a pass in all your units you will receive a certificate from NCFE.

Anyone can be your invigilator, but they must be registered with the General Optical Council and they must be willing to take responsibility to ensure that the examination is conducted properly and they must be able to be present for the whole time you are sitting your exam. The Awarding Body
Our qualifications have been developed to meet the specific needs of our learners and have been accredited by NCFE demonstrating their quality and rigour. NCFE are an awarding organisation recognised by the qualification regulators Ofqual. This is an unregulated qualification and is not a nationally recognised qualification
Our qualifications have been accredited as Customised Qualifications and we have benchmarked the qualification’s learning outcomes and assessment criteria at the appropriate level (using a national framework level descriptors) to allow you to demonstrate the difficulty and depth of study.
On completion of the Customised Qualification, learners will receive a certificate of achievement. The certificate is evidence of the knowledge and skills gained by completing the qualification. This qualification has been accredited by NCFE under the Customised Qualification and the certificate of achievement will be issued directly by NCFE.
