Our courses

Level 2 Optical Assistant

Start your career in optics with this qualification. It has been designed for support staff working within optics who do not have a registerable qualification, so whether you work in retail optics, manufacturing, sales or technical support this is a great course for you. There are eight units so you can choose any 4 units that are most applicable to your own role for the Certificate, or why not study all 8 for the Diploma.

Level 3 Senior Optical Assistant

Develop your optical knowledge and take the next step in your career. This qualification builds on the knowledge gained at Level 2 and is also suitable for experienced optical support staff. It covers more advanced optical knowledge alongside areas such as leadership, management and legal responsibilities.

Level 5 Certificate in Supporting Optical Care course

This course is designed to develop essential knowledge and skills in optical care. It is suitable for a diverse range of learners, from those who are new to optics to those who have been working in practice for several years. The Level 5 qualification provides a flexible and supportive introduction to the fundamental skills required in optical practice.

Level 7 Certificate in Supporting Optical Care course

This course is designed for experienced optical support staff who want to develop their knowledge and skills further. Building on Level 5, the qualification provides an opportunity to develop more advanced skills and is particularly suitable for those looking to progress within optical practice.
